Peter Rabbit es un conejo rebelde que vive junto a su familia y amigos y cuyo objetivo es colarse en la huerta llena de deliciosos vegetales de una familia de granjeros de la zona, los McGregor. Su dueño Thomas McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) tratará de impedirlo, aunque los animales contarán con una aliada especial, Bea (Rose Byrne), que les ayudará a enfrentarse a Thomas. Pero cuando el joven hijo de la familia llega a la granja dispuesto a hacerse cargo de ella, Peter tendrá que esforzarse por seguir entrando en su jardín, tarea que ya no resultará tan sencilla.

Will Gluck (el remake de “Annie”) dirige esta cinta mezcla de animación 3D y acción real que traslada a la gran pantalla el famoso personaje del cuento clásico homónimo creado por Beatrix Potter. La película está producida por Animal Logic, el estudio australiano de producción de animación y efectos especiales (“La Lego Película”) y sigue a un conejo rebelde y de lo más revoltoso que intenta hacerse con el control de la huerta de un granjero.
