Merrin Williams está muerta. Ha muerto en extrañas circunstancias, y su novio Ignatius Perrish (Daniel Radcliffe) es el único sospechoso. En el primer aniversario de la muerte de Merrin, Ig se pasa la noche borracho y haciendo cosas espantosas. Cuando se despierta, tiene una resaca tremenda… y cuernos que le están naciendo en la cabeza. A partir de aquí cambia su comportamiento y decide tratar de buscar al asesino con sus nuevas habilidades. Ig posee un nuevo poder macabro que intenta usar para descubrir al monstruo que mató a su amor. Ser bueno y rezar no lo llevó a ningún sitio. Ahora llegó el momento de la venganza…

Alexandre Aja (“Alta tensión”, “Piraña 3D”) adapta una novela de Joe Hill, hijo de Stephen King convirtiendo a Daniel Radcliffe en un joven al que le salen cuernos y se convence que el hecho está relacionado con el asesinato sin resolver de su novia.
