El American Film Institute a realizado una nueva encuesta entre sus miembros para elegir las 100 mejores películas de la historia del cine, una votación que realiza periódicamente. En ella «Ciudadano Kane» permanece como la mejor película de todos los tiempos, seguida de «Casablanca» y «El Padriño».
