    Sinopsis

    Domingo 14 de abril de 1912. Mientras el lujoso «Titanic», considerado insumergible realiza su viaje inaugural a Nueva York cruzando majestuosamente el océano Altantico, se avista un amenazante iceberg. El Titánic, con 2.200 personas a bordo, choca lateralmente con la mole de hielo y se abre a lo largo de 300 pies de su casco. Cuando el gigantesco barco comienza a hundirse, utilizan la radio para intentar encontrar ayuda, aunque de nada les sirve. Con botes salvavidas para tan sólo 1.200 personas, embarcan las mujeres y los niños… y las personas de primera clase.

    Comentario

    El novelista Eric Ambler adaptó el libro del historiador Walter Lord que relata minuciosamente la primera y última travesía del Titanic, el lujoso barco de pasajeros, que se hundió en las frías aguas del Atlántico Norte en abril de 1912.
